In March 2016, Brian published his first book; a mix of memoir, self-help guide, and how-to manual. The book, with a chapter aimed at families and spouses co-authored by Cathy, details Brian's long downwards slide into PTSD. It recounts his recovery, the rebuilding of his family, and Brian and Cathy's post-traumatic growth into a couple who came through the darkness to start teaching a simple message - if you want to fight, PTS is not the end of your family, marriage, career, or life. You can come back from broken.

Part biography, part how-to (or how not to do) manual, it uses Brian's story as learning points to help others navigate the perilous waters of PTSD.

...a must-read for anyone hoping to understand PTSD and its many ramifications, or for anyone going through this disorder and is afraid to talk about it. It is indeed a fascinating, no-holds barred account of one man's intense struggle.
